Barney Woodhead
Time served adrenalin junky, fed on a diet of extreme and adventure rock climbing for nearly two decades. Landed at the inevitable place in the sky, at base, with friends, what a place! In a short time he has flown both halves of the globe from sea cliffs and small hill, to high mountains and plains. Anywhere will do as long as there is natural beauty and of course, friends to share it with. He is fascinated by the environment that we fly in, and when not flying, this is what he studies mostly with a view to understand it and use it to its’ best. A close friend of his described paragliding as the Zen of all sports, he was, and is, and will probably be, always right… on this one anyway!
Flying Super Hero: John Sylvester, he’s a cool mutha, with oodles of style.
The Perfect Holiday: Some big air adventures over the Himalayas.
Flying Lows: Blown out…. Again.
Flying Highs: Breaking the back of Babadag’s 4000m inversion and getting over to Akgda.
Flying hours: 4-500 hrs.
Next Years Plan: To learn more than I did last year, get a haircut and win!
